With school season sitting just around the corner, you might be like me, wondering what this fall routine is actually going to look like. Praying that it will be, at least, manageable chaos, right? I’m thinking ahead: Will I finally make and follow through with a family meal plan? How will I keep the house half-way clean? When will we do this and how will we do that? And the big one: Where will all the time I need come from? The questions seem to drown in the sea of “busy” while my brain senses overload before the summer solstice even thinks about coming to an end.
This is our normal life, isn’t it? And, most of us love it most of the time. Sure, we complain and stress out and then just keep on, keeping on but we truly do sense a calling to this season that we’re in. Our family matters. Our job matters. The extracurricular stuff matters. It all matters and most of the time, we can rest assured that we’re doing our best to do all things for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
It’s with this mindset that I propose a challenge to each of us. The challenge is to not only place God at the center of your life but to also put him in the center of your life routines. I know, I know. We’ve all heard the sermon on this and got the t-shirt for it, only to find ourselves back into other, rather unhelpful habits, that distract us and pull us away from our one true purpose, which according to Jesus as mentioned in the Greatest Commandment, is “To love the LORD your God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength and . . . to love our neighbor as yourself.” (Mark 12: 30-31).
This is where my Made-Well One Program can come in. With its three-part structure (a personal journal, a private Facebook group and access to short video teachings) and a flexible framework to fit your schedule, you will learn to begin to incorporate daily, weekly and monthly routines that practically assist you in your heart’s desire to seek Christ first and foremost. There’s encouragement and accountability as we focus on habits that are biblically sound and that flow out of your personal relationship with God. We challenge you to be and stay intentional on your journey!
Perhaps a few questions might help you assess whether this program might be for you:
- Are you tired of trying to squeeze time with the Lord into your already tight schedule or of getting your verse of the day from a social media post?
- Do you find yourself with good intentions to be in the Word and in prayer daily only to end your days having had neither?
- Are you frustrated with your sincere, yet failed, attempts at the typical women’s Bible Study formats? Have plenty unread and unused books around the house?
- Are you torn between two opposing thoughts about “me time”–is it okay to take time for yourself or is it sinful? (Or perhaps your question is, “What time?”)
- Are you experiencing burnout emotionally, mentally, physically or spiritually and longing for practical help that aligns with your biblical worldview?
- Are you ready to grow in your love and devotion to God while also growing in your love for others? To delight in Him and in the days He’s given you–including the daily grind?
- Are you willing to explore and implement the disciplines of devotion to God that will provide help and hope to your spiritual, mental, physical and emotional well-being?
- Would you benefit from a structured, yet flexible program that walks you through a weekly process of practically loving God and loving others AND that could easily be accomplished in one hour a day?
This, my friends, is not another program to add to your already too long to-do list. We’re seeking a Person each day. His Name is Jesus! The Person who has called you, saved you and equipped you to fulfill your purpose to love him and to love others.
Come alongside me and the other women who have experienced first-hand the value offered in this program. We’d love to have you!
